Wellness Health Personal Trainer and Wellness Life Coach

Wellness Health Personal Trainer and Wellness Life Coach is a relatively new profession that has recently appeared on the market. It arose from the need to create a doctor of health and not of a disease, as a result of a widespread global epidemic (pandemic) of chronic diseases, in particular diabetes and obesity, which conventional medical doctors are not able to cope with.

A personal trainer of today is a person who is comprehensively and thoroughly prepared to work with the client. He not only deals with fitness in general, but also works with the client on the nutritional, psychological, pedagogical and coaching aspects of their life. Therefore, a personal trainer will be able to conduct classes with both young and old, regardless of whether a client is a man or a pregnant woman, whether he is an athlete or an amateur, if he is in a good shape or has health problems.

Such personal trainer will be able to conduct training not only at the fitness club, but also at the client’s home, in the field or at the pool and in any other place. If necessary, he will go to the store with you to help you buy healthy food.

A wellness health personal trainer is a person who holistically (comprehensively) approaches the subject of health, takes care not only of the body (like a fitness personal trainer), but also of the mental and spiritual condition of a client and, in accordance with the wellness philosophy, tends to all dimensions of their life equally. A wellness health personal trainer is a health doctor according to the definition of public health, i.e. he has the ability to prevent disease and prolong life. He promotes health and physical fitness and cares for environmental hygiene. A wellness health personal trainer helps others introduce positive changes in life, teaches how to lead a healthy lifestyle, and in particular:

  • eating a healthy diet, eliminating bad habits,
  • practicing physical activity wellness, which is based on daily physical activity,
  • taking care of your psyche to understand its impact on health,
  • coping with stress,
  • interpreting the philosophy of wellness.
However, when your client has already learned everything and is still unable to make lifestyle changes, you should change your role and become a coach.

The trainer’s role is to instruct and train someone. You tell him what to do, how to do it, how often to do it and what equipment, tools or software to use. This knowledge is based on the trainer’s knowledge, science, research, evidence and insights.

However, when your client has already learned everything and is still unable to make lifestyle changes, you should change your role and become a coach.

The coach’s role is to ask questions. You ask for opinions, you understand motivational strategies, you listen much more than you speak. You decide how the customer understands themselves and how they approach – or leave – what they want or don’t want. You are his probe.

To this end, we have created an innovative dual training program, Wellness Health Personal Trainer & Coach, which comprehensively prepares to work with clients and which combines the competences of a trainer with the skills of a coach.
